Join St. Mary's Visitation's Music Ministry

St. Mary’s Visitation’s Music Ministry now has more ways for parishioners to get involved in our choirs.  Please take a look at the options below and consider joining one of the appropriate choirs.  Registration is now open!  Please contact Julie Huebner if you are interested in participating, or if you have any questions at [email protected].

Schola Angelorum — SMV Children’s Choir
Calling all choristers aged 7-14!
  • Rehearses Thursdays from 6-7pm
  • There are two semesters: September to December and January to May
  • Sings the 9am Mass on every 2nd Sunday of the month
  • Sings 4pm Mass on Christmas Eve and 9am on Palm Sunday
  • Bonus: Handbell and handchime ringing
  • For treble/unchanged voices only
 
Schola Cantorum —SMV Teen and Adult Choir
  • Rehearses Thursdays from 7-8:30pm
  • The choir season begins in September and ends on Pentecost
  • Sings the 9am Mass every Sunday (except 2nd Sundays of the month)
  • Sings the Midnight Mass of Christmas with prelude caroling
  • Sings 9am Mass on Easter morning
  • No previous musical experience is required, but singers must be able to match pitch
 
Schola Immaculata — Advanced Women’s Choir
  • Previous choral experience is required
  • Singers must be able to learn repertoire on their own from materials and recordings provided by the Liturgy and Music Director
  • The choir sings Marian Feasts and select Solemnities throughout the Liturgical year
  • Only meets for two rehearsals in anticipation of those select Masses
