MarriageCongratulations on your engagement! It is a great joy when two people commit themselves to lifelong love and fidelity in the Sacrament of Marriage! Marriage is one of the seven sacraments of the Church. It was instituted by Christ to convey particular graces to those who celebrate the sacrament, enabling them to live out their love for each other in mutual, lasting fidelity.
St. Mary’s Visitation offers a preparation program to insure that couples receive proper instruction and the support of the parish community as they prepare for life together. This includes meeting with a priest or deacon, a sponsor couple, and attending a preparation course. The couple will also participate in planning the liturgy. Generally, six months should be allowed for marriage preparation. To start the process, please complete the form at left. Sacrament of Marriage Class
