Visitation Institute Book Study
Each year, the St. Mary's Visitation offers two book studies, one in the fall and one in the spring, to dive more deeply into the great works of Theology and Spirituality. In the fall we study a classic book of Catholic thought/spirituality, and in the spring a contemporary work.

Fall Book Study
The Spiritual Writings of St. Thomas Aquinas As the Church's greatest philosopher and theologian, the personal holiness of St. Thomas Aquinas (1225-1274), along with his teachings on prayer and the contemplative life, are often forgotten or minimized. This series will attempt to help all those grow in their own holiness as they grow in appreciation of these treasured writings of the Church. Beginning September 17th and going each Thursday from 9:30-10:45am in the Attic Youth Room Boardroom, we will be reading two small books from St. Thomas, "The Auinas Prayer Book" and "On Prayer and the Contemplative Life." There is no cost for this class, but for social distancing purposes we do ask that you purchase the texts yourself, you can find links here and here.
