St. Mary's Hot Lunch Program
St. Mary's Hot Lunch and Milk Programs will not discriminate against any child because of race, color, sex, religion, national origin, age or disability. If any member of a household believes they have been discriminated against, they should contact Ms. Reesman, the principal, immediately.
Application forms for free and reduced lunches were sent to each family in the August mailing. Extra application forms are available in the office. If eligible, return the completed form to the school office.
Students in full-day K4 - 8 Grades, will be able to purchase hot lunches. Student meals cost $2.30 per meal, including milk, super meal $3.95, including milk. Adult meals cost $2.75 per meal and do not include milk.
We are now using a computerized lunch accounting system. Each child will have a bar coded lunch card which is kept in the classroom and scanned at lunch. The lunch or milk will be deducted on a daily basis from each child's account. A $2.00 replacement fee will be deducted for all cards that are torn, bent or damaged in such a way that the scanner is unable to read them.
Payments should be made using "St. Mary's Hot Lunch Envelopes." Enclose one check per family made out to St. Mary's Lunch Program. Designate, on the envelope, how much money should be allocated to each child's account. The first envelope was sent home in the August mailing. Additional envelopes are available in the school office. It is the parent's responsibility to keep lunch accounts current.
Daily lunch counts are sent to the central kitchen by 9:00 a.m. If your child arrives at school later than 9:00 a.m., it is your responsibility to check with the office to see if a lunch can still be ordered for that day, or if you should send a cold lunch.
Milk Program
K-4 AM and half-day K-5 students ARE eligible for the Federal Milk Program, however, they are not eligible for the hot lunch program. If desired, milk can be ordered for a K-4 AM or K-5 AM student for the entire school year for $54.00. Make checks payable to St. Mary's Lunch Program. This check must be separate from Hot Lunch payments.
Students in full-day K-4 - 8 who will be bringing a cold lunch can buy milk if they wish. The cost is 35 cents per carton.
