Principal's Welcome
Here, students grow into "the St. Mary's Visitation Way." Catholic formation and academic excellence are equally important and both are intended to lead students to realize the love of God in their own lives and to serve Christ's Gospel mission to impact the world. Respect, responsibility and right relationships are the foundations of our school community life. Daily prayer and frequent celebration of the sacraments open staff, students and their families to the movement of God in their lives and with the support of the St. Mary's Visitation School community invite a generous response. We are committed to continuous improvement in all areas. St. Mary's Visitation School is staffed by a fully degreed and certified faculty. The students are challenged in reading, writing, mathematics, science and social studies. Across the curriculum our students use our superb technology resources to enhance their learning. Specialty classes include music, Spanish, art, computers, and physical fitness skills for life. An archdiocesan approved religion curriculum guides the development of our students understanding of Catholic doctrine and tradition. The school staff is committed to support parents in their primary responsibility to provide their children with the knowledge and practice of the Catholic faith by insuring that Catholic perspectives are integrated into all subject matter and classroom routines. Students engage in outreach service activities throughout the year, interacting with others in Christ’s name. Extracurricular opportunities include sports teams (volleyball, basketball and track), art activities, forensics, scouting, First Lego League, eCybermission, Math Olympiad and more. St. Mary's Parish School benefits from the generosity of the whole community. The school community is especially grateful for the financial and prayer support offered by the parish as a whole. Parents are extraordinarily committed to put their time and talent at the service of students, organizations and projects that benefit our school children. Working together, the St. Mary's Visitation Parish School community will grow into a fulfillment of its mission: to direct children toward God and toward Christian service to society through Catholic religious formation, academic challenge and continuous improvement. Our theme for the 2007-2008 school year, “Live Jesus”, assists us in focusing on our mission. Thanks for visiting our website. If you have children who might be students here in the future, do not hesitate to give me a call to arrange for a tour. We'd love to have you join us! Lynn Ann Reesman Principal
