Service

"To each individual the manifestation of the Spirit is given for some benefit." 1Corinthians 12:7

"United in faith, we live as a prayerful people under the guidance of the Holy Spirit called to share our gifts through Christian stewardship in our church and world communities." St. Mary's Visitation Parish Mission Statement

The true measure of Catholic identity is how Catholics live their lives in the world. Catholicism is a religion of action requiring its members to be hard workers but maintaining balance by being as open to receiving service from our faith community as to giving it. Our parish offers numerous opportunities in both areas.

Some of the areas that we invite you to serve in are as:

Leaders of Small Faith Groups; Christian Formation Committee or Subcommittee members; Adult Confirmation or RCIA mentors or sponsors; Make a Difference Days Volunteers; Marriage Preparation sponsors; Meal and a Prayer volunteers; St. Ben's volunteers; Food for the Hungry donators; Angel Tree donators and on! (see Adult and Family Volunteer Opportunities and Parish Outreach )

Some of the areas we serve you include:

New Beginnings; Ministry to the Sick and the Homebound; A Meal and a Prayer; and numerous Spiritual offerings.

Resources for support groups in the community include those listed by our Mental Health Association Read more
