Reconciliation
First Reconciliation
Children are offered preparation for the Sacrament of Reconciliation prior to First Communion. This preparation is included in curriculum at St. Mary's Parish School and in Religious Education classes for parish children not attending the school. Parents are required to attend one parent only evening class prior to their children receiving the Sacrament of Reconciliation. This is a time for parents to receive information on the Theology of Reconciliation and to ask any questions they may have concerning Reconciliation. A special celebration of the sacrament is held in January for those receiving the sacrament for the first time. Family participation is always encouraged and parents are invited to receive the Sacrament of Reconciliation along with their children.
