Baptism
Baptism is the sacrament which opens Christian life to us, initiates us into the church, and affirms us as sons and daughters of God. Parents of children being baptized are invited to affirm and strengthen their commitment to the Christian faith and the religious practices of the Church through a period of preparation. This preparation period offers parents a wonderful opportunity to assess their own understanding of the faith and to renew their commitment to our Christian Catholic way of life.

Upcoming Baptism Preparation Classes
Families requesting baptism must be parish members and attend a baptism preparation class. Parents who have participated in baptism preparation in the past five years (at St. Mary's or another parish) are invited, but are not required, to re-take the preparation class. 2023 Baptism Schedule
These will be communal celebrations with the possibility of other children being baptized at the same celebration. The priest or deacon will distance families from one another. St. Mary's Visitation Parish Baptism Notes
